Ready to pay for AJAX?

It seems there was a patent granted for Rich Midia Applications with the very broad title description: “Methods, Systems, And Processes For The Design And Creation Of Rich-Media Applications Via The Internet”. So this includes everything from Flash to AJAX to anything more than a simple posting of a form.

So the question becomes, are you ready to pay a sum to make your site more usable?
