Trend: Public No To DRM

A few days back, I wondered what the new trend would be instead of music. Well it didn’t take long before that question got answered (on some level at least).

The latest trend seems to be a public announcement against DRM-protecting music. First came Steve Jobs with his statement of abandoning the DRM protection, now also the head of Yahoo! Music Dave Goldberg (one of iTunes’ competitors) agrees with Steve.

The “protest” against isn’t new, but it’s the first time big figures proclaim this opinion.

They finally see that DRM is useless, even the next DVD standards (Blue-ray and HD-DVD) are broken already.
